Education at De Levensboom

De Levensboom offers courses and workshops, lectures and presentations on the subjects of complementary care and procedural methods, not just for nurses and carers but also doctors, pharmacists, therapists and other disciplines directly involved with patient care.

At De Levensboom, we feel that it's very important that you can be sure of a professional lecturer who fully understands their subject matter and is highly experienced in their area. Where possible this will be evidence based and directly relevant to daily procedures. The course material is specially written for the various specialised fields of care used today.

It's therefore with very good reason that De Levensboom is registered and certified by the Quality Register for Nurses and Auxiliaries (V&VN), an official organisation in The Netherlands.

Please take a look at the subject headings below in the form of a short lecture, up to a complete 2 or 3 day course or company training with a specific focus:

Lectures in and Tours of, our Educational Medicinal Plant Garden "Heerlijkheid De Levensboom".
We will be very happy to arrange a special day or afternoon for your organisation, club or society, your friends and colleagues, to visit us in Wernhout (halfway between Antwerp and Breda) at De Levensboom, home of the Educational Medicinal Plant Garden "Heerlijkheid De Levensboom". You'll be received in tradional style with "coffee and cakes" and then there'll be a complete tour of the gardens with explanantions about all the 400-or-so plant types to be found. It's a fsinating tour and you'll learn about the roots (literally!!) of medicines.
It's also good to know that all the income from these visits goes to the charity "Stichting Levensboom Fonds", that provides (usually extra) therapies (amongst other things) for people who couldn't otherwise afford them. Especially, children suffering from cancer are helped, to soften the terrible side effects of Chemotherapy and Radiation Therapy and thus improve the Quality of Life for them.
